NEW WELSH KIDS WORSHIP EP - COMING 2012
Yep! I'm working on a brand new Welsh Kids album full of fun for churches and schools in Wales. Having grown up in Wales, I really have a heart for the nation and to see kids meet Jesus in a fresh and fun way. The ep will be released early 2012.
'Simon has such a way with lyrics, melody, energy and passion, crafting brilliant songs that your kids are going to connect with instantly. This album is fantastic!!! From high octane songs like 'Rock My World' and 'God is Good', to the gentle 'Wonder of Your Love', your kids are going to devour this. I know we are going to be listening to this album over and over again in our home, and I have a feeling you are going to enjoy it just as much as us!' Kathryn Scott - Worship Leader & Songwriter
'Simon is a children's pastor at a large Anglican Church in Ealing, London, and children's worship leader at the popular New Wine festival. This is his second solo album. Produced by the excellent Matt and Dan Weeks (who add their not inconsiderable instrumental skills to the mix) and featuring, amongst others, David & Beci Wakerley from Hillsong Kids and Nashville-based Yancy, this is an album of top rate music for children and young teens. It's all played on proper instruments (including the legendary stylophone) and the vocals are delivered by people who clearly believe in what they're singing and are thoroughly enjoying the whole experience. With the exception of "Glorified" (by Jared Anderson) and "Wonder Of Your Love" (by Jack Mooring, Leeland Mooring and Marty Sampson), all the tracks are written or co-written by the energetic Mr Parry himself and are full of catchy melodies and lyrics which are both simple and profound, just right for the target audience. The bonus track "Come On And Dance" is a real foot-stomper and there's enough bounce in the rest of the album for a whole forest full of Tiggers, from opener "Best Best Friend" through to "Unstoppable Love". Yet another example of great British kids' worship - well written, well produced, well performed and, well, brilliant! Ian Hayter - CrossRhythms.co.uk
